WHAT IS BOUDOIR
Boudoir is an intimate form of photography. It's known for being able to boost confidence. Lately, it's become part of the self-love movement.
These sessions are typically done in lingerie but there are many ways to customize your outfits to best fit you! There is no one-size-fits-all in boudoir and everything can be customized to you!
These images make a great gift for yourself or that special someone in your life.
Frequently Asked Questions
Absolutely not! Most of the peeps I work with choose to never take any nude images. There is no pressure either way but you're welcome to do either.
If you're interested in doing some topless or nude poses let me know ahead of time as it will be considered one of your outfits.

At True You we mainly work with women, of all ages, but also offer couples sessions. There is no experience needed and I will help you pose from your head to your toes!
Boudoir is all about celebrating you and your body and that is something we all deserve to experience.
Payments can be made either online via credit card or by e-transfer. At this time True You Boudoir is not accepting cash payments.
Pre-payment plans are available to all my clients to help you pay off your session in a few instalments.
The session fee includes a lot. It's practically everything from the time we first connect until you leave after your session (minus outfits).
Here's all that you get: Pre-session consultation, assistance with selecting and sourcing outfits for your session, session prep guide, hair and Make-up, location rental, and full photography session (around 90 minutes), virtual viewing of your images after your session!
All photos are edited for colour and minor retouching is done to each photo. Retouching is done only to make the photo look more cohesive and I will not alter your body in any way. I want you to still look like you in all your photos and feel that heavy retouching can take away from that. When it comes to retouching I will only remove marks that are not permanent parts of your body i.e. bruises, scratches, acne... If you'd like to have something else edited please mention it ahead of time as there are some things I will not do.
Everyone has the choice between signing a release (allowing me to use their photos on social media + my website) or not signing one. There is no pressure either way and it's totally up to your comfort level.
With a full release, you're giving me full access to post your gallery and any photos taken at your session (this can also work where you let me know any photos you're okay with me sharing/not okay). For the anonymous release, you're consenting to me using and posting any photos in which you can't identify that it's you.
I recommend having your session 6-8 weeks before you need your product. This allows time for you to choose your favourite photos, the editing process and having the products created.
I normally open session dates 6 months in advance. This allows time to plan ahead for your session and take advantage of the pre-payment plans!
After your session, we will schedule a virtual reveal. This typically takes place within 5-7 business days after your session. This is where we go through all your photos and you can pick which ones you'd like for your edits and product. All album collections will also have a separate reveal or you will be sent your album design for approval before it is sent off to production. Depending on the product/collection you've selected turnaround time may vary.
True You has a growing client closet of items you can pick from for your session. You are still asked to bring at least 1 outfit you know you love! I will gladly help you find things that you feel amazing in!
